Founded in 1994, Ulster YouthBuild has been helping young adults in the Kingston Area of Ulster County area receive preparation for their GED exam, while at the same time receiving hands-on training in construction by building affordable housing for first time low-income families. During the cycle of our 6 month program, participants have many opportunities to earn several certifications they’ll be able to use throughout their lifetime. Before exiting our program our YouthBuild staff align our students interests and goals with potential career and internship possibilities. Following graduation, we continue to provide our graduated students with 12 months of follow-up to make sure they continue on the right track and remain committed to their goals. The staff at Ulster YouthBuild places a strong emphasis on career development, personal development and leadership development.
At Ulster YouthBuild we are dedicated to changing the path of Ulster County's youth by addressing the core issues facing low-income communities: housing, education, employment, crime prevention and leadership development.
